SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport police are reporting a second arrest in connection with a Jan. 18 incident that ended with a police officer shooting a suspect who had allegedly fired into a crowd.

Police said it started when 26-year-old Ronald Hill of Shreveport allegedly fired a rifle into a crowd of people gathered on Shreveport’s Monkhouse Drive. A police news release says Hill was shot by a police officer after refusing to stop firing and drop his weapon. Hill was hospitalized and is recovering. He was charged with one count of illegal use of a weapon.

Now, police have arrested 29-year-old Antoine Jackson of Shreveport and charged him with Illegal use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon. Information on trial dates and attorneys was not available.
