ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Two people are dead following house fires near Bradenton and in Orlando.
Both fires happened early Friday morning.
In Orlando, crews made contact with a man inside a burning home, but lost communication with him before the structure collapsed. He was later found dead in a back room of the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Near Bradenton, fire crews were told someone remained inside a burning home in Cedar Hammock. Crews simultaneously searched for the victim while trying to put out the fire. They found the victim dead in a bedroom where the fire apparently started.
The fire caused $75,000 in damage and is under investigation.
The names of the victims have not been released.
No further details were immediately available.
