KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (AP) - Attorneys from across South Carolina are in the Lowcountry for an annual meeting to discuss issues affecting lawyers.
The South Carolina Bar Association’s convention starts Thursday at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
The meeting runs through Sunday and features discussions on the creation of diversity scholarships at the University of South Carolina School of Law and requests to raise member license fees.
State Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal is also planning to give an address on the state of South Carolina’s judiciary.
On Sunday, former Nixon White House counsel John W. Dean is scheduled to speak about legal ethics.
