Here are a few of the $404 million in capital projects that the Ohio Higher Education Funding Commission has recommended for state funding in 2014:
-OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY: $52.8 million conversion of historic Pomerene ($37.2 million) and Oxley ($15.6 million) halls into state of the art data analytics program facilities
-UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI: $28.8 million renovation of Medical Sciences Building
-SHAWNEE STATE: $4 million expansion of Health Sciences Program
-YOUNGSTOWN STATE: $700,000 in maintenance and repairs to Moser Hall Manufacturing Lab
-UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO: $9.5 million for campus infrastructure improvements, automation and mechanical upgrades and campus energy reduction measures
-UNIVERSITY OF AKRON: $3.3 million energy efficiency upgrades to Auburn Science & Engineering Center
-SINCLAIR COMMUNITY COLLEGE: $4 million to modernize classrooms at National Unmanned Aerial System Training Center
-COLUMBUS STATE: $8.95 million in campus technology upgrades
-LORAIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE: $2 million SMART Center for Sensor Commercialization expansion
-BOWLING GREEN-FIRELANDS: $1 million Allied Health & Sciences Building expansion
-STARK STATE: $500,400 for Student Center One-Stop renovations
-RIO GRANDE: $987,000 for College Completion to Career Center
