VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Police say the registered owner of a pickup truck apparently involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Vancouver has refused to talk with detectives.
Police say others associated with the owner also are not cooperating.
The Columbian reports (https://bit.ly/1mL5ZnN ) the owner and others had been watching Sunday’s Seahawks playoff game at a residence before the accident.
A white pickup truck making a turn ran down two women Sunday night, killing 28-year-old Irina Gardinant and 45-year-old Raisa Mosh. Mosh’s 12-year-old son suffered minor injuries.
A white truck with front-end damage was found Tuesday night at a nearby apartment garage. A Washington State Patrol crime team will process the truck Friday for evidence.
Police also are still looking for a black pickup truck that was at the intersection at the same time.
