PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (AP) - Pass Christian police have arrested a 22-year-old man on a murder charge.
The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1dRdabG ) the arrest was at the Harrison County jail Wednesday, where he’s been held since he allegedly stole a dead Long Beach woman’s vehicle.
Michael Lalley, chief investigator of the Pass Christian Police Department, says Antoine King was a recent acquaintance of 20-year-old Regina Riley-Paul.
Police have released few details surrounding the death.
The woman was reported missing under her maiden name of Riley. She had been married two weeks. She was last seen Sept. 27. Her remains were found three weeks later in a vacant lot in Pass Christian.
Authorities say she died of asphyxiation.
It was unclear whether King has an attorney.
