JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - An Idaho man is in custody in Jackson facing a human trafficking charge alleging that he forced a teenager to work as a prostitute.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1dUusmI ) that prosecutors charge 31-year-old Jonathan Kelly Massoletti of Pocatello, Idaho, forced the 18-year-old woman to have sex with men in at least three states. They say he was planning to do the same with a 19-year-old woman.
Court records say the 18-year-old told detectives that Massoletti had arranged about 100 sexual encounters for her.
Circuit Court Judge James Radda set Massoletti’s bail at $50,000 cash at Tuesday’s hearing. He faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 30.
Massoletti faces between five and 50 years in prison if convicted.
