RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Richmond bank says it’s reissuing more than 15,000 credit and debit cards that were part of recent data breaches at Target and Neiman Marcus.
Union First Market Bankshares Corp. said Tuesday it will issue more than 10,000 cards with new account numbers and security codes to Union First Market customers and more than 5,000 cards to customers of StellarOne, which recently was bought by Union First Market.
Union First Market Bankshares President and CEO G. William Beale says the security breaches didn’t compromise any of Union’s systems.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1eR06zx) reports customers should start receiving their cards this week. Bank spokesman Bill Cimino says customers can continue using their current cards.
