ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say a 29-year-old Soldotna man who was driving a commercial vehicle has died after a crash in the Homer area.

Troopers say Trevor Cunningham was ejected in the single-vehicle crash at mile 9.5 of East End Road. Troopers were called about the wreck shortly before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to troopers, Cunningham was inbound to Homer when his vehicle overturned, separating the tank from the frame.



Cunningham was taken to a local hospital, where he was declared dead.

Troopers say the vehicle was hauling drilling mud, and some of it spilled from the vehicle. The state Department of Environmental Conservation was notified.

Troopers say booms were set out as a precaution.

The investigation of the crash continues.
