JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Jefferson City police say human remains found last week apparently are those of a missing central Missouri man.
The remains were found Tuesday afternoon. Jefferson City police Capt. Bob Clark said Wednesday that the body was decomposing and had been at the site for some time.
He says police found no evidence of a shooting or stabbing and the Boone County medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The Jefferson City News-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1hjr6tg ) police have been talking with family members of the man, but won’t release his identity until further testing is done.
