SEATTLE (AP) - Police have impounded a car as part of their investigation into a shooting in Seattle early Wednesday that sent a man to a hospital in critical condition.
Police says the red Corvette was parked about two blocks away from the shooting scene. It’s being processed for evidence.
Officers responding to a report of shots fired about 2 a.m. found the 37-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Fire department medics said the wound is life-threatening.
A witness saw a red Corvette leave the scene. Gang unit detectives are investigating.
KOMO reports it’s the third shooting this week in a neighborhood near Seattle University. A wounded man was able to walk into a hospital Monday, and shots were fired Monday night into cars and buildings.
