SALEM, Ore. (AP) - A 42-year-old Salem man was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison for fatally shooting another man after an exchange of angry words in the parking lot of a Salem Walmart.
Mark Edward Brown pleaded no contest last week in Marion County Circuit Court to murder and weapon charges.
The Statesman Journal reports (https://stjr.nl/1fZUHeK ) Brown killed 28-year-old Bryan John Lee Knorr in September 2012 as he was talking with another man in the parking lot. Witnesses say Brown drove up, yelled something and shot Knorr.
