CHEHALIS, Wash. (AP) - A Lewis County sheriff’s deputy suspected of drunken driving has resigned while under investigation.

Sheriff Steve Mansfield said Tuesday that Deputy Christopher P. Fulton likely would have been fired.

The 31-year-old Napavine man was arrested Jan. 4 by a state trooper on Interstate 5 near Chehalis.
