PASCO, Wash. (AP) - A former Connell city councilwoman serving prison time for embezzling money from a Mesa farm now is accused of taking funds from a Franklin County cemetery district where she served as business manager.

A state audit says Monica Pruett misappropriated more than $21,000 and also received more than $32,000 in questionable compensation from 2004 to 2012.

The Tri-City Herald reports (https://bit.ly/19NrBwu ) Pruett was sentenced in November to two years in prison after pleading guilty to theft for taking $160,000 from the farm that hired her as a bookkeeper.
