CAMBRIDGE, Vt. (AP) - Fire has destroyed a home in the Vermont town of Cambridge.

The family of four made it out safely Tuesday night after being awoken by fire alarms.

They drove to a neighbor’s and called 911.

Assistant Fire Chief Dan Wyckoff says the house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

Firefighters believe the fire started in the garage by a malfunctioning battery charger on an ATV.

Wyckoff estimated the fire caused about $300,000 in damage.
