TOLEDO, Wash. (AP) - A Lewis County sheriff’s officer says a 17-year-old Toledo, Wash., boy suffered head trauma when his ATV flipped several times in the middle of a local road.

Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said the boy was airlifted Tuesday afternoon to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was not identified and there was no word on his condition.

Brown says it appears the rear tire came off the rim, possibly due to low air pressure.

The boy was not wearing a helmet and hit his head on the pavement.
