DOVER, Ark. (AP) - Pope County Sheriff Aaron DuVall says the deaths of a man and woman found following a fire last week is being investigated as a homicide.

The bodies of the two were found Thursday morning after fire crews put out the flames at a structure on Arkansas 7 north of Dover.

DuVall told reporters Tuesday that investigators believe they know the identities of the victims and how they died - but is not releasing that information pending positive identification and a ruling on the cause of death by the state Crime Lab.

DuVall says investigators from his office and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
