COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A firearms safety group is giving away free gun locks in Columbia.
Project ChildSafe will be at Palmetto State Armory on Tuesday morning, giving away the locks. Columbia police officers and Richland County deputies will be on hand to show how to properly use the locks.
Organizers say gun locks are some of the best tools to make sure children can’t accidentally fire guns.
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham will also be at the event, which starts at 10:30 a.m.
