GOLDEN VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in northwestern Arizona say a Golden Valley man is accused in the shooting death of his roommate.

Mohave Valley Sheriff’s officials say 61-year-old Louie Manuel Torres allegedly shot Jeffrey Todd Allen after an argument turned violent Monday night.

They say the 44-year-old Allen left the residence after an initial argument with Torres.

When he returned and was walking up the driveway, Torres told authorities that he shot three warning shots to scare Allen and one struck him in the neck.

Deputies responded to a shots fired call and say they found Torres walking in the street with a firearm on his waist.

He’s being held on suspicion of manslaughter and reckless and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

It was unclear Tuesday if Torres has legal representation yet.
