MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Authorities have been searching a northeast Kansas cove for a 56-year-old Kansas State University employee whose family reported her missing.
KMAN-AM reports (https://bit.ly/1kVG4LC ) dozens of soldiers from Fort Riley joined law enforcement officers Tuesday in looking for St. George resident Jane Peterson, who works in the physics department at Kansas State.
Peterson was reported missing by her family Sunday morning. Her truck was found Monday at Tuttle Cove on Tuttle Creek Lake, north of Manhattan.
Riley County police said the search was suspended late Tuesday afternoon. There was no immediate word on whether it would resume Wednesday.
