QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - All of the nearly three dozen stained-glass windows will be renovated at Quincy’s Blessed Sacrament Church.
Most of the windows were installed in 1892. The project started in December and should be finished by May. Jacksonville Art Glass is handling the renovation. Company representative Ron Weaver says the windows will undergo a “remarkable transformation.”
Officials with the church tell The Quincy Herald-Whig (https://bit.ly/KtjGsw) that they’re able to pay for the project thanks to a $340,000 bequest from the estate of a long-time church member.
