FAIRBURN, Ga. (AP) - A coroner has identified a man who died while cutting tree limbs in suburban Atlanta over the weekend.
The Fulton County Coroner’s Office says 21-year-old Tim June, of Roswell, died after the accident on Saturday in Fairburn. Police Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo told WXIA-TV that June was about 50 to 60 feet above the ground when the accident happened.
Authorities say he cut one limb but another snapped and hit him. Bazydlo says a witness told investigators that he stopped moving immediately after he was struck with the limb.
Investigators say the combination of blunt force trauma and June becoming tangled in his safety equipment likely contributed to his death.
