MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) - A fire at an unoccupied warehouse in Mount Vernon has disrupted rail traffic.

KING-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1dHkhmQ) about 50 firefighters were battling the blaze at the former Alf Christianson Seed Co. warehouse. Officials had to suspend rail traffic because water lines are being put across the tracks.

The fire sent up columns of black smoke that can be seen from Interstate 5.
