CHICAGO (AP) - A man suspected of shooting a woman with a shotgun in front of her daughter in Rockford has been arrested.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Central Warrant Unit arrested 50-year-old Donald Harvey Thursday night at a Chicago shelter where he was staying under an alias.

Harvey is wanted in the June 2012 shooting.

According to Winnebago County records, the gunman shot the woman, then pointed the weapon at her daughter and threatened to shoot her too.

He’s charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

A judge set bond at $1 million during a hearing Friday at the Maywood Courthouse.

It was not immediately clear if Harvey already has an attorney.
