MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - Oregon state police says a woman and man from Seattle were arrested after officers found 44 pounds of high-grade marijuana worth about $88,000.
Police say that 39-year-old Jessie Olivia Tear was the driver of the 2001 Volkswagen Jetta driving northbound on Interstate 5 north of Medford. She was pulled over for speeding.
Authorities say subsequent investigation led to the discovery of the bags. No further details were disclosed.
Tear was booked into Jackson County jail along with 44-year-old Patrick James Haenelt.
