FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Two sisters face numerous charges after they allegedly shoplifted several items at a central New Jersey mall by stashing the merchandise in bags placed under a toddler’s stroller.
Freehold Township police tell the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1i9O2yD) that 23-year-old Shamecca Whitfield and her 20-year-old sister, Shamera Whitfield, both of Brick Township, were arrested Friday in Eatontown on unrelated charges. Bail for each sister was set at $180,100, and it wasn’t known Saturday if either woman had retained an attorney.
