ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (AP) - A group plans to search the Clinton River for winter stoneflies.
The Clinton River Watershed Council’s annual winter stonefly search is to take place on Saturday in Rochester Hills.
The sensitive aquatic insects are seen as an indicator of water quality.
The nonprofit Clinton River Watershed Council says searchers are to meet back at its office for lunch and hot beverages once they’re done looking for stoneflies.
The Clinton River watershed covers 760 square miles through Macomb, Oakland, Lapeer and St. Clair counties.
