ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - The state attorney general’s office says a Rochester man has pleaded guilty to fraud charges for working as an optometrist without a license.

Attorney General Eric Scheiderman says Shamil Tadros treated countless patients at various locations in Monroe County and illegally billed Medicaid and other health care payers for more than $115,000.

Tadros entered his plea on Wednesday. He’ll be sentenced on June 23 in Monroe County Court.
