OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma appeals court has rejected an attempt by a 44-year-old man to have his first-degree murder conviction and life prison sentence overturned.

The Court of Criminal Appeals handed down the decision Friday in the case of Clifton Lee Wilson, who was convicted by a Grady County jury in the August 2010 death of Timothy Young.

After his death, Young’s debit card was used to withdraw $200 in three different withdrawals from an automatic teller machine. A picture captured by the ATM showed Wilson with his face partially covered by a towel. Wilson claimed he had hidden the camera for another man who offered him money to do so.

Wilson’s defense attorney, Traci Quick of the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.
