MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - A Muncie woman has pleaded guilty to molesting a six-month-old girl while staying at the apartment of the baby’s mother.
Twenty-three-year-old Ashley Lynn Stapert pleaded guilty Friday to child molesting in connection with a series of molestation attacks of the girl that also involved Stapert’s then-boyfriend.
A Delaware County judge who’s considering her plea has tentatively set Stapert’s sentencing for March 13.
The Star Press reports (https://tspne.ws/LeZ5sd ) that Stapert’s former boyfriend, 25-year-old Bryan Michael Strickler of Streetsboro, Ohio, was sentenced last month to 100 years in prison for molesting the girl and infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease.
He had been convicted of child molestation and attempted child molestation.
