CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - Authorities in Copiah County say a locomotive was damaged when a fire broke Wednesday night.

Emergency management officials tell WJTV-TV (https://bit.ly/1ax2eNC ) that firefighters received a call about 11:05 p.m. that the locomotive was on fire in Crystals Springs.

The engine was hauling a load of coal. It is owned by the Canadian National Railway, Copiah authorities say.



It caught fire on a stretch of track between Cayuga Street and Harrison Drive.

Two men aboard the locomotive escaped, but it was damaged by the blaze.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
