BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A couple from Boise has been charged with felony injury to a child in connection with an incident last summer involving their then-2-year-old daughter.

The Idaho Statesman (https://bit.ly/1dsupNZ ) reports 40-year-old Dennis Eichholz and 32-year-old Amber Pehrson were arrested Wednesday. Prosecutors say their toddler was found in July wearing only pajama pants and playing in a kiddie pool five homes away, and the residents didn’t know the girl.

Sheriff’s deputies say when they returned the girl to her home, the adults weren’t there but three other children between the ages of 4 and 12 had been tasked with watching the toddler. The deputies say the home was dirty, knives were within the reach of the kids and there was no electricity except for a power strip running to a neighbor’s home.
