SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Police in Springfield have identified a body found at a trash collection company as a white man in his 40’s.

KYTV reports (https://bit.ly/1fGrncV ) the man’s name was being withheld Friday while authorities tried to notify family members. There were no obvious signs of foul play, but the cause of death was being investigated.

An employee of WCA Waste Corp. found the body Friday morning at a transfer station. Springfield police Lt. Brian Phillips said it arrived with a load of trash from a dumpster.

Phillips declined to say where the load was picked up.
