OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have arrested five men as they investigate an Omaha neighborhood shooting tied to the death of a 5-year-old girl.

Three men - Vincent Hicks, Jaylen Montgomery and Adonus Moses - are charged with theft by receiving in connection with a stolen car in December. Police believe the car is linked to a Wednesday morning shooting in north Omaha involving several people. A stray bullet from the shooting hit 5-year-old Payton Benson about a block away.

Two other men - Shaun R. Murph Jr. and Kevin Peak - face separate charges. Murph is charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. Peak is charged with possession of a stolen firearm.



Bail was set at $1 million each during arraignment hearings Friday. Court records do not list attorneys.
