SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) - A Saginaw judge has ruled four men will stand trial on second-degree murder charges for a shooting during a pre-prom party that left a 17-year-old girl dead.

Judge Randall Jurrens on Friday ordered the trial for Keon Bowens, Isaiah Clark, Eveillis McGee and Karon Thomas. Other charges include three counts of assault with intent to murder that relates to three others who were shot and wounded.

Saginaw High School sophomore Tonquinisha McKinley was fatally shot May 23 outside a Saginaw event hall.

Defense attorneys argued there’s no evidence of who actually shot McKinley, and they attacked the credibility of witnesses. Jurrens says prosecutors showed probable cause and the disparities can be sorted out by a jury.
