RENO, Nev. (AP) - Washoe County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men for allegedly stealing cooper wire from light posts and an irrigation system at a regional park.

Authorities say 20-year-olds Mitchell Metcalf and Jordan Burdette were observed by deputies pulling wiring Wednesday night from the fixtures at North Valleys Regional Park.

They were arrested on charges of destruction of property, entering a park after hours and possession of burglary tools.

Authorities say Metcalf also was charged with possession of marijuana.
