NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Police now say a man found dead after a family dispute and a six-hour standoff in North Las Vegas was 49 years old, not 67.
Police say they got reports about a violent argument and gunshots about 9 p.m. Tuesday at a home near Gowan Road and Clayton Street.
Investigators say it appears a husband and wife argued and their 24-year-old daughter tried to intervene.
Police believe the man shot the daughter and his 42-year-old wife, prompting two other teenage children to flee to the roof.
The teens were not injured, but the older daughter suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot and the wife was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say there was a long standoff with the man, who was later found shot dead inside.
