ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - A St. George man who told police he had sex with an unconscious woman to save her life has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the incident.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/L4fujG ) that 50-year-old Roger William Kelly pleaded guilty last week to a second-degree forcible sexual assault. Prosecutors say Kelly found a 29-year-old woman cold and struggling to breathe on her porch last May.

Kelly says he was trying to keep the woman warm when he began rubbing her arms, legs and stomach. Then, prosecutors say he sexually assaulted her.

Police came after the woman vomited and Kelly called 911. Police found Kelly giving the woman CPR.

Kelly told police he knew the woman and that she had told him previously she didn’t want to have sex with him.
