BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Police in Boise say a 17-year-old boy who was struck by a car while crossing the street sustained facial injuries.

The teen was struck Monday morning while in crosswalk on a busy intersection. Police say the 49-year-old driver was turning left and going about 15 miles an hour when the vehicle struck the young man. The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

The driver was ticketed for failure to yield on a left turn.
