DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A state panel has agreed to pay more than $1,400 to fix damage to first lady Christine Branstad’s car.
The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/1hodyNK ) the Iowa State Appeal Board on Tuesday approved the spending of $1,420 after Branstad’s car was damaged last year.
A gate fell atop her personal car at the governor’s mansion in Des Moines, causing the damage.
The State Appeal Board includes the state auditor, treasurer and director of the Department of Management.
