ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A New York man has been sentenced to life in prison in the shooting death of a college professor found at the bottom of a ravine last winter.
At sentencing in Rochester Tuesday, 29-year-old Jerrell Henry continued to deny involvement in the death of 73-year-old Edline Chun.
Henry was convicted last month of first-degree murder.
County workers found Chun’s body on Feb. 6, three days after the Rochester Institute of Technology instructor was killed in her home. Authorities say Henry tied her up and forced her to sign several checks before he shot her twice in the head and stole her car.
Henry’s girlfriend, Natalie Johnson, is serving a sentence of 25 years to life for her involvement.
