WAYNESBORO, Miss. (AP) - A man will be sentenced March 4 after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife in Mississippi.
Authorities say 22-year-old Amber Andrews was shot in February 2013 while she was driving alone on U.S. Highway 84 outside Waynesboro, causing her to wreck. She died at the scene.
Authorities arrested 25-year-old Anthony Pace shortly afterward at his mother’s house in nearby Gilbertown, Ala. Pace was initial charged with first-degree murder.
WDAM-TV in Laurel/Hattiesburg reports (https://bit.ly/19rQnSB ) that Pace pleaded guilty Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court to second-degree murder. Pace faces up to 40 years in prison when sentenced.
