SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Syracuse say they’ve charged a 21-year-old man in the 2012 fatal shooting of another man who had recently moved to central New York.

Officials tell local media outlets that Quincy Lundy of Syracuse was charged Monday with second-degree murder.

Police say he shot 30-year-old Walter Belle III on the night of Oct. 19, 2012 on a street in Syracuse. A second man was shot but survived. Lundy isn’t charged with shooting the other man.

Officials say Belle was a South Carolina native who had moved to Syracuse from Long Island with his fiancee two months before he was shot. He’s survived by their two children, including a baby who was born after he was killed.

Lundy was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning. It couldn’t immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
