VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - The trial of a woman charged in a series of fires on Virginia’s Eastern Shore is scheduled to begin Monday in Virginia Beach.

Tonya S. Bundick’s trial was moved from Accomack County to Virginia Beach last October. Bundick’s lawyer requested the change of venue because of media coverage of the fires.

In Decemer, a judge refused to move the trial again after Bundick said she was concerned that she wouldn’t get a fair trial in Virginia Beach. She said portions of co-defendant’s Charles R. Smith’s confession aired on news stations in Hampton Roads

Bundick faces 63 arson counts and a conspiracy charge stemming from a string of fires in 2011 and 2012.

Smith has pleaded guilty to 67 arson counts and a conspiracy charge.
