NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Southern University of New Orleans is breaking ground on a new small-business incubator.

The school says the $3 million facility, which will take two years to complete, will allow interaction between classroom education and real-world entrepreneurs. It also will rent space to entrepreneurs.

The New Orleans Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1aWl6lW ) university administrators expect the incubator to create an environment for cross-disciplinary learning and entrepreneurial collaboration between business majors and students from other disciplines, such as social work, education and natural sciences.
