Snowmobiler killed in Wright County

SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP, Minn. (AP) - A snowmobiler has died in Wright County after crashing into a snow crest.

Sheriff’s officials say 51-year-old Craig Peitz, of Buffalo, vaulted on a hill, slammed into the snow crest and was thrown from the machine Saturday.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1cewWHK ) reports the snowmobiler was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale where he died.
