COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohioans will be paying a little more for gas as the new work week begins.

The average Monday morning was $3.38 for a gallon of regular gas in the survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s up 9 cents from last week.

The national average Monday was $3.31, down a penny from last week. Monday’s national average is identical to the average price one year ago.



The Ohio average is 23 cents higher than a month ago, and 12 cents higher than this time last year.

The lowest average gas price in the state Monday was 3.33 in the Canton-Massillon and Youngstown areas. The highest was $3.41 in Cincinnati and Columbus.
