Man’s body found in parking lot in NYC suburb

COPIAGUE, N.Y. (AP) - Suffolk County police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a parking lot in Copiague.

Officers were called to the lot around 3:30 p.m. Sunday after the body was found behind a trash dumpster. Authorities say the man appeared to have been the victim of violence. He has not been identified.

The county medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy.
