OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin has appointed Nikki Leach as associate district judge for Noble County.

Fallin made the announcement Monday.

Leach is replacing Judge Dan Allen who resigned. The appointment is effective immediately.

Leach, of Perry, has been in private practice since 1985.

Fallin says Leach is very intelligent and has an exceptional knowledge of the law. She says he will serve the residents of Nobel County well.

Leach earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University.

Leach said that after practicing law for 27 years, he feels it’s time to give back to the community and the legal profession.

Fallin selects judges from a list of three names forwarded to her from the 15-member Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission.
