KENNER, La. (AP) - A 20-year-old Kenner woman who police say supplied a fatal dose of heroin to a friend last year is now facing a murder charge.
The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1ceHyXc ) police arrested Lana Marie Cristina on Friday and booked her with second-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Amber Hollis, also of Kenner.
Police say paramedics called to Christina’s home on Oct. 27, found Hollis unresponsive. Hollis was pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology testing eventually determined that Hollis died of “acute heroin toxicity.”
Christina was booked at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna where she was still being held Monday on a $500,000 bond.
It was unclear whether she has an attorney.
